Destruction like the Clans have never seen before is on it's way.
The five Clans—Nightmare, Dream, Horror, Delusion and Lost—have lived in relative peace for generations. Of course there are always border skirmishes, fights over borderline prey and territory. But there have been no wars since the First War so long ago, the one that created the Clans.
But lately things are getting bad. Leaf-bare is setting in early, prey is scarce in all the territories, and barely any kits have been born in moons. Fights are breaking out frequently, even during Gatherings—it was during one of these Gathering battles that DreamClan's deputy was killed, in fact, which has thrown NightmareClan and DreamClan into a feud nobody needed.
Twoleg activity near the territories is increasing rapidly, tearing apart the land just outside Clan territories to build their nests. Everyone suspects it won't be long before the encroach on the Clan's territory and build their nests there, too.
Not to mention the recent move in of another Clan that call themselves RuinClan, consisting mostly of loners, rogues and kittypets, very few of them with true Clan names. Who are they, and what do they want?
Turmoil and destruction, and no way out of it. Is this their destiny?
